Libido, metabolism, and mood — can one mineral really help?

Let’s get real for a second.

If you’ve hit midlife and feel like your spark has dimmed a bit — the energy, the drive, the desire — you’re not alone. Hormonal shifts in menopause can mess with everything from mood to metabolism to libido.

I remember when my sex drive tanked. It was seriously depressing not only for me but for my partner. There was even a point where he thought we had relationship problems. It wasn’t until I fully explained what had happened to my body and then took action to get that flame burning again that he felt things were ok and back to normal.

So what if I told you there’s a simple mineral that might help you turn things around?

It’s what did the trick for me!

Enter: Zinc.

Yup, the same zinc you probably only think about during cold and flu season might be playing a much bigger role in your menopausal journey — especially if you’re feeling flat, foggy, or frumpy.

Here’s what the science is saying:

👉 Zinc may help boost testosterone levels — even in women
A study on postmenopausal women with low zinc and low libido found that zinc supplementation significantly increased testosterone levels AND improved sexual desire, arousal, orgasm, and satisfaction. Yes, all the good stuff. (PubMed Study)

👉 It’s key for a healthy libido
Zinc supports hormone production, neurotransmitter balance (like serotonin), and nitric oxide — which helps with blood flow and sexual arousal. When you’re low, everything slows. When you restore balance? Hello again, confidence and connection.

👉 It supports your immune system and helps you recover faster
Got joint pain or low energy after workouts? Zinc can help reduce inflammation and improve tissue repair. It’s like WD-40 for your muscles and immune cells.

👉 It may improve your sleep and reduce anxiety
Zinc works behind the scenes to regulate melatonin and GABA, helping you fall asleep easier and feel calmer during the day (because who has time for hormone-fueled meltdowns, right?).

👉 It’s great for skin, hair, and nails
Think stronger hair, fewer breakouts, and firmer skin — because why not have glow-up side effects while you’re at it?

💡 But here’s the catch:
Most women 50+ don’t get enough zinc from food alone. And when your levels are low, symptoms like low libido, brain fog, and slow metabolism get worse.

That’s why in my latest YouTube video, I’m sharing:

  • Some Facts on Zinc
  • Other powerhouse supplements that work alongside zinc to help with fat loss, energy, and mood
